SO THEN! I'm making this because I've been looking for a partner to help me learn Japanese, and really it's a hard thing to find "a" partner because difference in schedules and lives. But a team... Having group of people trying to learn once thing with several difference sets of skills and difference experiences and wisdoms is not only better than having one partner but helps the learning curve per person increase. I say we should have like 14 leaders, (the first 14 who visit) who will lead what we learn in a given week or two, who will offer advice and what not. I hope it'll be fun and not strict, and I hope it'll help us learn quickly.

Sounds like a good idea. Might be worth forming a 'group' and not just a thread.

There are already language learning communities out there for Japanese.

Though I think a team of maybe of under 20 people wouldn't be a bad idea, assuming they would regularly meet to do language exchanges. I wouldn't mind being part of that. I have some Japanese contacts who want to learn English.
