This is a new cartoon out on the cable channel called The Hub (also known as Hub Network). It is about this boy who finds a magic ring that gives him super powers. But there's one problem. It give's him a female superhero costume! While this does seem to be a funny and silly plot, perfect for a cartoon TV show, a number of rightwing groups have denounced the cartoon for catering to the LGBT community, or for being LGBT propaganda aimed at children.

Personally, I think these groups that are against the show are probably reading more into it than there actually is. I don't think the creator thought of it as LGBT propaganda (and I think he's even said that was not his intent, in an interview once).

I'll let you guys tell me what YOU think of it. Below are the trailer and opening of this cartoon.

And they made a big Deal over "Sailor Moon" because Kunzite and Zoisite were a homosexual Couple and the Sailor Starlights altered their Genders during power-up.

Actually the rightwing groups didn't make a big deal over Kunzite and Zoisite. It never got that far. The censors/editors at the importing company that brought it to the US (I think it was DiC) ended up just making Zoisite a female character, so that the relationship depicted was heterosexual.

However it was because of the Sailor Starlights and NO WAY to censor out the fact that they were transgendered in their powerup, that caused the importing company to just give up on the idea of importing it, so that's why we don't have Sailor Stars (season 5 of Sailor Moon) at all in the US (except for pirated copies with fansubs).

Funny thing is, his lipstick container is his lightsaber. LOL! If you watch the opening you'll see that.

It's probably not LBGT propaganda, but can you really blame anyone for thinking it is? The premise is so forced.

I think the design the the main character in heroine form is ugly. I found most of the puns obnoxious. It's just not that great of a show.
