if ya been keeping tabs on this thing like i have you already have $50 bucks stowed away with a "do not touch till october" sticky on it.

5-6x the size of vice city
no more loading between areas
more indoor locations
everyone has AI(everyone...pedestrians, cops, rival gangs)
recruit your own gang
4-person drive-bys
dual-wield certain guns
swim(bout frick'n time!!)
gamble in casinos
work out(can improve preformance)
eat(too much of the wrong stuff and you get fat)

plus its bases in the early 90's
divided into 3 areas
Los Santos(Los Angeles)
San Fiero(San Francisco)
Las Venturas(Las Vegas)\

Wow Pakachu, those descriptions of the game sound really really cool, its getting me amped up. So you are actually able to walk into the bulidings now? And no more loading between places and you finally get to swim?&#33; So cool&#33; I have died too many times due to drowning :<_<: it is about time. And you get to eat too you say? And work out? And create gangs and play in casinos? This is just too much, I have to go get it now&#33;&#33;&#33; *about to run out to the video game store and then stops* Oh yeah, it&#39;s coming out in October, and I&#39;m broke :(

no thanks seems to me that alot of you realy like gta but this is one franchise i just could never get in to i think since 3 they have been re-hashing this same game and san andreas just looks like more of the same with thigs that sound like inprovments but probably wont add alot (you can ride a bike? :<_<: ) im sorry this franchise is just tired to me i beat 3 and vice city and im done with theis games but hey thats just me besides if its comeing out in october gradius v will be come out then :wub:

well its like any game
itas a rehash of previous title with new toys.

Gradius V
probably about the same as the original gradius
just new featues and better graphics

gradius is a clasic tho gta is hard to think of as a clasic at any rate some sequals arnt just re-hashes of the same game most rpg are fairly diffrent from past instalments also platformes like jak and mario have changed drasticlt as well

its been around since the good ol days of nintendo.

GTA has only been around since &#39;98
not quite old enough to be considered a classic
but it deffinitly has enough of a following
and ya wanna talk about game evolution, have ya ever played the original?

dude.... the gta series was cool because it did something that no other game has.
it combined some of the best elements of other genres(mostly racing & shooter types)

plus you&#39;re not forced down any single path.
you can do a story mission then run around for a day or too doing side stuff
then come back to the mission.

did you ever paly 2? itr was as fun as sticking a fork in your eye meaning its fun because it wont always kill you

dont really remember that much of it though
all i really remember was the electro gun.

eh, i wouldnt say it was that much fun, but it had its good points
(ZAAAAP&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33; crackle, pop.)

the first was a fun because it was something new
the second simply wasnt a big enough step from the first one to make it a great game.
the third was like entering a whole new world of gameplay
VC was a few more steps in the right direction with the larger map, more things to do and more personalized character(change clothes, a voice)

and SA will be a few more steps in the right direction.

GTA 3 and GTA:VC are classics. In videogames, any game that will be looked back upon fondly is a classic. It has nothing to do with age. And you can’t deny that if you don’t like the GTA series after GTA 3, you are in the minority.

So what if Vice City was only a evolution from GTA 3? All of the Shooters I’ve ever played since 1992 on are at best evolutions, at worst re-hashes. Shooters are all-but entirely devoid of personality, originality and choice on the part of the player. The GTA series has all those things in spades.

And in all likelihood, GTA:SA will be a great game. Certainly it will be much better than Gradius 5.

(No I don’t hate shooters. I just find them un-original and un-inspired . The only one I have any interest in playing is Ikuruga [sp?] )
