How come you trust us to upload our own sigs but we still can't upload our own avi's?
If we wanted we could upload XXX sigs but we don't now do we?

Actually people have. They just get removed and deleted ;p

It was the decision of the admins, and I highly doubt they'll be changing it anytime soon. Especially because it would mean more than rooting out inappropriate avatars. You see, the admins/webmaster/webmistress have decided they'd like all avatars to be anime or game-related. And if allowed to upload themselves, do you suppose members would follow that?

Just the way it is ^^ I mean if you want an avatar (so long as it's anime or game-related), you just make a post about it in Avatars and so long as it follows the rules it'll be uploaded. Is that so terrible?

Just wait, after I finish, it'll be easier for everyone to get an avatar uploaded.
