or more likely how to translate 「だって」. Here's the full translation, feedback is most appreciated. ^^

You need to watch out with だって; depending on context, it may be either the "if" particle succeeding a noun (interchangeable with でも) or simply a だ＋って (contraction of です with the quote particle って). It may look trivial but this is one of those song grammar places where it's hard to distinguish between the two.

Taking the stanza after this into account, it's the former.
