I need some books that I can really sink my teeth into all recommendations are welcome, I need books that I can really let my imagination go as far as it can old or new even biographies would be good. Here is what I have read so far and enjoyed:

Catcher In The Rye - J.D Salinger
Divine Comedy - Dante Aligheri
Alice In Wonderland - Lewis Carroll
Through The Looking Glass - Lewis Carroll
Macbeth - William Shakespeare

And I have read a fair amount of plays, please recommend.

Have you ever tried reading crime books? I see you come from the UK too, so I'd like to be the first to reccomend the author Peter James. He's not too well known internationally, but his books are addictive...once you've read one you want to read them all! If you are going to give him a try I'd reccomend starting with his "Roy Grace" series, which follows a police force from Brighton.

Have you tried the Narnia series? That one always reminds me of Alice in Wonderland for some reason
