I just got Photoshop CS 5.1 with that new monthly subscription from Adobe, and so I decided I could start showing off what I can do :D It's been five years since I've touch Photoshop so it won't be so great right now, but I'll relearn the ropes soon enough I hope. :)

This one has a stronger yet subtle glow to the lefthand blue sprites to better bring them out of the background:

These are basically the same image. >_o; I'm just wondering now if you would like to share other works you can really do.
I can't really say so much because you're only making small edits of the same picture. If you just ask me, explore out of your comfort zone and try to do some alterations with other pictures.

Seung-li You're right. I'm sorry. I felt like the weird need to show the little edits for some reason. But anyways, I'm working on a new one. It's still far from complete as it has no background, etc, but I figured it was impressive enough to give an update here:

Very nice work, I actually like the showing of the little edits to see the differences, but probably cause I havent messed with making stuff like this on PD, so seeing it, is still cool to me. :)

First off your signature does not comply with rule #1 in SOTW.


1) Your signature must be at least 200 by 80 pixels, and no larger than 500 by 250 pixels, the files must be saved as a PNG file. Verticals are allowed as well.

Your signature would've been instantly DQ'ed. Seeing as how it's 1024x512!!! Not to mention it's probably your worst works, along with the stuff here: http://www.animeforum.com/showthread.php?108961-Ayu-s-Thread-of-Awesome!!&p=2682057&viewfull=1#post2682057.

It's grainy, big, ugly colors, non matching text. It would have not faired well at all in SOTW. I recommend looking at tutorials and sticking with BSOTW in the meantime. Do you pay attention to anyone else's works? Care to notice that no one is walking around with a signature that big? Stick to a normal size please. Look at what other people are doing, follow their example. Once again look at tutorials, plenty on DA for you to use. Remember have fun, don't let a few critiques get you down and keep trying.

As for your question about attachments. You click "go advanced" at the bottom of your post input area if not already there.. Youll click the thumbnail with a little paperclip on it. And it's self explanatory. You have up upload it on the site directly and if you've ever uploaded anything before, you should be able to see how to upload here as well. When the attachment box pops up you just click the green 'add files' button at the top right and select your file then upload it.

Thanks for the critique. I definitely know that I had trouble figuring out what colors to use so it's good to know what someone thinks of it. But don't worry, I know about the sig size thing of the SOTWs. I just like to post larger pics of my work here in this thread while I submit the smaller versions for the competitions. Almost all of what I make is done @ 2000x1000 or @ 4000x1600. And thanks for the help on the attachments
