I remember this! I used to play the game in elementary school, you know back when school was actually awesome...

I played this in elementary school as well. Actually, it was in my GATE (advanced ed) class. I never beat it because, ironically and embarrassingly, I didn't quite know the geography clues well to know where to head to next. I came across Carmen again years later when my family got an APPLE IIe. I realized I wasn't going to beat it in one sitting back in elementary school, but at home I had plenty of time to hunt down Carmen's entire crew. Anyways, I loved watching the cartoon on FOX Kids (r.i.p). Hearing the epic theme song today brings a nostalgic tear to my eye.
