I've been pondering this one for a while this morning. If you could have any perfect practical skill what would it be. By perfect I mean you can do it perfectly without error.

For me that would have to be Translation. I am improving on understanding Japanese, and getting it back to English, and vice versa though I still have a long way to go.

Bring on the perfection.

That's a tough one. There's so many things I'd like to be great at, but I think the skill that should be perfected, especially in this day and age, is computer technology. Both software and hardware, coding and building.

I completely agree. Computers are becoming far more important every year. Its always good to improve on those skills.

That's a tough one for me too. I'm going to say singing. (Does that count?)
But I would love to be able to sing everything perfectly. It might help me get my dream in life, which is to be in Broadway.

Pretty much anything counts as long as you can apply it directly to yourself, and it makes sense.

This i probably it. it would be awsome to be able to understand people through body-language and such to such a degree where you almost know for certain how they think, how they will react to different scenarios. think of it like a Sherlock Holmes (the movies) kind of way :P

To be able to flawlessly dance all sorts of techniques. So many dance moves I'd love to do *___*

Or trapeze, I'd love to be skilled at the trapeze too. But that comes with a LOT of fire burning hands and bruises. Plus you're suspended so high up in the air.

I was talking about more classical dance like Point, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern dance etc...... Clubs are not my thing

Like this girl.. she's 15, bet you probably would never come close to mastering half the technique she's able to do ^-^...

Yea I kinda got that though, simply took an example I could actually relate to. I usually don't find myself on a stage where everyone suddenly expects me to dance ballet xD

but you are indeed correct I can't even get close to do dance like that. I wouldn't mind though. beigh that flexible and to know how to move ones body gacefully like that would be great. I'm sure it's fun when you get into it. I actually like most dances. well of those that I have seen that is. I think it would be fun to try a lot of them I especially like when there is a big group moving in sync. I'm not in that good shape though at the moment so I'll have to start training a lot before I could even try xD

And to be honest I'm not much of a club kind of guy either I only go on few occasions when my friends bitch about me never going out with them. I've always been the home party kind of guy. I'd rather just hang around and socialist.

Flexibility and ballet are good for guys. Many football players and other sports take ballet because it helps them with self control and works and shapes many vital muscles needed to play sports.

yea I can see why. I bet it's rather hard before your muscles and joints gets used to it. It must take some time to "bend" out your legs if you can call it that. I mean I can't even lift my legs to a 90 degree angle with a straight leg. and not to mention the toe tipping xD

Do you dance?

edit: In the name of the thread I found another skill. The skill to play music perfect. with all instrument :P

Yes, I have been a dancer for most of my childhood and have been in two competitions . I quit though since dancing 5 different styles of dance 5 days a week really took a toll on grades. In highschool I went back and took ballet for pointe but I just couldn't put in as much as I wanted too.. Going back in HS was not the best option.. I thought my legs were going to just fall off of my body from being unconditioned and then I had school.. That break wasn't very healthy for me either.. I still stretch and self dance. But I don't do it professionally anymore.. I'm going back one day and not giving up!! ^__^ I'd love to dance so flawlessly and elegantly.

PS. I recommend this girl to you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHjpOzsQ9YI

I have several, like drawing and painting beautifully. Just being able to get those images in my head down on paper..

That's mine aswell, being able to play all instruments flawlessly. Especially piano, since I could use it when I sing.

Or else it would be, like blueangel06661 said, dancing. I have a thing for modern contemporary dance, and I would love to dance it.
Then, if that actually happened, I would join a dance company like Beyond Words Dance Company.

This is a Beyond Words rehersal (and how I'd like to dance):

Medicine or Law, obviously. At least in this society, it's the two skills that are the most "useful" from a practical point of view.

Yea I can imagine that would've been tough on you. what did you dance more than ballet?

Actually I have already heard this song. I have dwelled in the electro/dubstep swamp for a long time and I stumble across this song earlier this year. I didn't know there was any vids though xD this is great. seams like I got some more songs from her to go through :D

I really like violins, out of the "classical" instruments them and piano are my favorites I think.

AnKat
I really like this kind of dance as well. while a single person preforming a dance is more like a clean piece of art a big group working as one is more like a.. well I don't know how to put it in English but you get what I mean ^^

If one has perfect practical skills of medicine wouldn't that mean you would be able to cure anything? even aging? hm well played.

I had tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and competition. Though in middleschool [a few years after I originally quit] I went to a different studio and took hip hop for a year.

I'd say being very non-emotional sometimes, my only face is
"Happy" "sad" "mmmm.. ok" xD
aside from that don't show much I doubt that even counts xD
