I recently started making signatures and am wondering what people think of them.
I only have four right now two versions of the same two.
Here are my original attempts.

These are the remakes.

For starting out, not bad at all, as this happens to be my fav. of the 2.
However, to improve on this, add some more effects on it and work on blending the character in there. Read some tutorials too to give you new ideas. KIU!

I think the thing that bothered me most was your fonts - they don't really.. match, or look right, or something. I don't know. They just don't look right.

Good for just starting out though! Keep making them, and improving ^_^

Okay, starting off. Al of your signatures are lacking foreground, middle ground, and background. You only have 2/3 [middle ground (extraction), and background]

Another thing is your font is not very good. You should try to look into more downloadable fonts and then tutorials on text placement. Search DA for tutorials.

^^^ This one has MAJOR extraction issues. Right now you're not really good at cleanly extracting an image so I suggest using pre-extracted resources for the time being to get your skill in whichever editor you use. Good places to find extractions are deviant art & http://planetrenders.net/.

^^^^ As for this.. On the right hand side you have text running ontop of text. Not sure if you were too lazy to remove the "Nutta" or what but it's not a good thing to do.

The only thing I can recommend is mess around with different brushes, download some. Play around with the blend modes to achieve different effects. When you feel comfortable with the terminology with your program you use, search some tutorials for it and try to follow a simple looking one. But most importantly please work on your 3 grounds. It really ties things in to have all three.
