Does anyone remember this show cause it was awesome. Let me know what you think about it.
Fun facts: Apparently production on this show was halted in 2004 but never officially ended.
The voice of Samurai Jack was Phil Lamarr the same voice as Static Shock.

I loved the show when it first came out, but after several seasons it just didn't have the same thing going for it, and it got boring.

Samurai Jack had a lot of promise. I was sad to see it go out the way it did

I was waiting for this show to pop up in here. It went before its time; they never even finished the story for it. I loved watching it, but one day it just faded away. Haven't seen it in years, but from what I remember it was action filled, funny, and had a good plot/story to it as well. Samurai Jack was a kind hearted badass as well.

I liked those cross culture references, especially Jack and the Hunters, and Jack and the Spartans. You just cant beat a Samurai and a legion of Spartans with rocket spears.

I loved this series!! Its style and execution was really, really interesting. I'm so sad that they never actually finished it. ;;

They said they'd do a movie to finish the series, but nothing came of that; now Aku's voice actor has passed, so I wonder if they'll do anything at all.

Such a great series. It needs to be continued.

Jack'n'the'Jack ... Jack-Jack-Jack.

Or something

Man ... how did I miss this thread? This series was awesome; especially for its time it was incredibly original and creative; I remember watching a documentary about the show where the writers described the way they drew and animated the series and the reasons why, such as the significance of using sounds and the shapes and locales they used.

I always wondered if the series ever ended but it seems it went the way of Invader Zim, which is a shame. But whereas people I know said it was boring due to those often-long cinematic pauses, I honestly thought it was revolutionary for a cartoon series.

Simply put: Epic Win.

Gotta get back.

Hopefully it won't be a complete and utter failure as a remake.

I dunno, if they pick up where the comics are at or cover where the comics kept going after the show it should be good. It looks like the original team is doing it this time as well.

I'm so excited for this, oh my Christ. I haven't kept up with the comics (and tbh I still need to finish the rest of the original run), but if the original creator and cast is on board, I don't see how it can fail. This is gonna be amazing.

was a great cartoon when i first saw it years ago. and it still is. to be honest though, i'm not sure if it would greatly appeal to today's youth. especially if the creators keep the same kind of pacing. kids and teens nowadays aren't as patient. either way, curious to see how it'll turn out

You say this now, but only 3 1/2 years ago you said it lost it's fizz. That's true, and it did. Because it was starting to rehash the same old story movements. Jack comes across something new, Jack assesses the situation, Jack relies on his mastery of martial arts and swordsmanship from past trainings and experiences to overcome the situation, Jack makes new friends from the outcome, and lather, rinse, and repeat.

The comics have taken a bit of a different approach though. Like the story arc where Jack breaks his powerful and supposedly unbreakable sword forged from the soul of a warrior. So it'll be interesting where they take this.

Well, the sword was always a "Magical" sword from the beginning. That his father used to defeat Aku the first time. Jack took up the sword and has been using it ever since until the time it breaks (Comic timeline). Then he's forced to roam the dystopian land without his sword and a broken will (being it was his only way to defeat Aku), and Aku attempts to seize the scenario and kill Jack for good. But what eventually happens is a spoiler, so I can't tell you. LOL
