So whats your favorite RPG

I like skyrim its the best ever...just kidding mine is atcually mass effect i know i lot of people are going old school ones like final fantasy or dragon quest but i really enjoyed the mass effect serious i thought the story the charaters and the gameplay are all great in there own right i know that some people like jrpg but seriously mass effect is a all round good game but i also know it has its fualts im not calling it perfect im just saying its a great series woth playing

I swear I've seen this thread before...hmmm anyway, I generally love all RPG's, but if I had to narrow it down I would have to be either The Elder Scrolls series (due to the fact that I'm an Elder Scrolls veteran), or it would have to be the Final Fantasy series. It's a tough choice.

I may love TES, but I can truly agree with you, as a post apocalyptic, futuristic, alternate universe stuck in the 50's era style game, it simply is a science nerds dream to play, and I should know, I am one :cool:

Skyrim nuff said its one of the best in the elderscrolls trilogy, and all of those games are deep in stories and have multiple side quest to keep you interested.
Also mass effect is okay but do is final fantasy im jus grew up on elderscrolls as well.

I'm pretty much in love with Persona lol I like all the elder scrolls games, however I really enjoy the roots. The final fantasy games were a big influence in the games I play now but lately I have been playing persona a lot and can't wait for the p4 port to the new psp vita :D

Persona 3 is my favourite. I also love Grandia II but I think the reason for it is that it's the RPG I grew up with therefore I like it :p I'm not a WRPG fan though to be honest. The only ones I could get into was Mass Effect and Knights of The Old Republic

I never played Demon Souls but one of my current favorites is Dark Souls. All time favorites though are the TES series, Persona, Neverwinter Nights, Silver and Sacred.

I'll havo to go with TES Oblivion because my PC can't run Skyrim . Unparalleled freedom of action and incredible customization . I can't play any other RPGs anymore. I keep comparing them to good old Oblivion and none of them can match up . I'm a real fanatic i know :x . Bioware does have some pretty good titles but allas that cursed PC keeps getting in the way

I’m glad that Golden Sun and Super Mario RPG have been mentioned; they’re certainly fantastic games. But above all, I have to go with the one that got me into RPGs all along, Final Fantasy VI (or FF III, as it was titled on the SNES). Locke Cole has been one of my favorite characters ever since, and I could ramble for quite some time about the other aspects of the game.
