This is an cartoon from the late 80s and the story is about the dinosaur Denver whos egg was discovered by a gang of friends who took Denver in and teached him, for example, skateboarding while trying to protect him from people who tried to kidnap Denver so they could make money out of him.

I loved this show as well. I think it's on Hulu now but I'm not about to try watching it again...
