Plot Synopsis
Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi is a story which deals about First love affairs. The TV series has 3 stories in it.
1. Ristu Onodera promised to himself to never fall in love again after being hurt by first love Masamune Saga. He was the only son of the CEO of Onodera Publishing and since he loved books he started to work as a Literature Editor at his father company, however due to some incidents. He resigned and decided to make a name for his own. He applied at Marukawa Publishing where he landed being a Shoujo Manga Editor which he didn't wanted and sooner he meets Masamune (now Takano due to some family issues) the one who broke his heart. Takano clarifies it with him and stated that he will make Onodera love him again.
2. Chiaki Yoshino, Mangaka and Hatori Yoshino, his editor had become long time friends and Hatori developed feelings for Chiaki and so do Chiaki. Yu Yanasa, on the other hand, is another close of Chiaki has also secretly admired Yoshino. Chiaki now is in the between a love triangle between two of his friends.
3. Shouta Kisa is a "young looking" 32 year old editor who has issues with falling in love with men based on looks only. but, Ko Yukina, the one Kisa has eyes on, said that he will make Kisa fall in love with him without the use of looks.
Art and Animation 9/10
Art is Not as impressive or depressing. Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi's animation still stand out. Character's emotions are clearly seen whether anger or sorrow or happiness.
Vocal Music/Soundtrack 10/10
The anime's soundtrack is really impressive. It's opening will surely catch one's attention with it's upbeat, rhythmic sound. It's ending is heartwarming on the other hand. Background Music is great and added to the dramatic, lovey dovey scenes.
Story 9.5/10
Just like any typical Shounen-Ai, It's story is uniquely made. However, if you seen a couple of them, you can easily predict what will happen. In this anime, we get to understand on First love it's either you're gonna believe in the saying "First love never dies" or not.
Overall 9.5/10
With it's catchy opening, cute and squel worthy love story and great animation, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi can make you glued to the series. Give it a try, it won't hurt. ALTHOUGH, if you have no interest on Shounen-Ai, then fine. XD
