Anyone else play with dolls? I'm on the East server if you feel like adding me. I don't have much time to play recently since school started, but I log on for like 10 minutes a day to farm a boss.

If you don't know what Vindictus is, it's a free MMO produced by Nexon (MapleStory, Dragon Nest, Dungeon Fighter Online) and developed by devcat. It's free, it's 3D and built on the source engine (albeit somewhat shoddily). It's action centered versus traditional dice-roll mmo's--e.g. you aim the camera, and execute your attacks real-time with hitboxes much like an fps, versus the oldschool DnD style mmos where you select a target and everything revolves around (digital) dice rolls.

Was fun for a while but I eventually grew tired of the time limit and didn't feel like paying for time and didn't see the point of keeping a game I could only play for two hours every other day or so. If they removed that blasted time limit I might consider playing it again.

Nope, when I last played you had X number of coins. Every peer after the first one took X number of coins per mission with the amount progressing the farther along the peer is. Essentially it's a time limit.

they removed the coin system a while back, i'll eventually get back into playing when my computer is back up and running.

Once they've finally release Vindictus in Europe then I'll play the game. Though it will be in closed beta. Glad I'd signed up for that but there is gonna be a lot of European players, so potential lag? more likely.

It doesn't work for me, though. I tried installing it but it won't let me in because I'm from europe. :l
Even so, I don't have time/am not in the mood to play MMO's these days. o.o I'll look up Vindy again after I'm into my MMO phase again.

Unfortunately, unless someone chooses to release it in Europe, you wont be able to play it. It's region locked.

I wanna play vindi but im too hooked on mabinogi. For those who dont know its tied to mabi like in vindi they are in Erinn and want to get to Tir Na Nog which is their paradise. In Mabinodi we are in Tir Na Nog want to get to Erinn. BUT in mabi we think we are in Erinn, and vindi they think they are in Tir Na Nog. So its flipped. The Goddess Morrigan (or however u spell it) is in both games, and so is the NPC Fergus (dam him o-o) lol so yeah

That was just some fun facts for u :D My laptop is too crappy to handle vindi, i love the gameplay though because i tried it on my bfs computer. :D

As far as I read, Tir Na Nog is what we'd call heaven. When people die in Erinn they go to Tir Na Nog, thus the original korean name Mabinogi Heros; when heros die they go to heaven e.g. the setting of mabinogi itself. So basically since mortality sucks, they use it as an excuse to make vindictus more dark themed.

Of course I've long since given up on reading the quest text, so my lore isn't quite up to par.

Also yeah, the token system has been done away with, the level cap is 70, there are 8 boats released, and permanent underwear/hair has been added (in case you find that important LOL). Quite a few changes over the past couple months due to efforts to rapidly catch up to korean release.

I mean, it's still left click x 3 right click spam, but I still find myself charmed by the graphics (read: scantily clad models) and the challenge of soloing challenging bosses.

and yeah, currently it's region locked to North America atm but Nexon EU did announce they were going to bring vindictus to eu...over a year ago lol. Bummer, but dems the ropes.

Yikes, what character did you decide to go with? Fionas and Lanns are so rough until around level 25-ish when they get their key abilities like Heavy Stander, Counterattack, Smash Mastery, Gliding Fury, etc.

I don't think I have it in me to level another guy to 60+ heh

I was a beta tester for Vindictus. It was fun, then it gets boring. And so in my world, it now sucks.
But when I do feel like playing it, I only find it fun playing it with a friend on skype. LULs everywhere.

I played from Open Beta so I have a very good idea what you mean, and I have my fair share of frustrations with the game as well; but for some reason at the end of the day I still find it therapeutic and stress relieving to just mindlessly destroys hordes of monsters and solo a fairly challenging boss.

and speaking of playing with friends, ironically I find the people least trustworthy with the crushing spike trap are people I know IRL
