Mac. After using it for a long time and owning one, Mac gets my vote. (: I love using it.

I wish there was an inbetweener, like hardware quality and durability that the Macs are said to have, but without the shiny surfaces and total uselessness that Macs have.

PC.

I've dealt with both. My family used Macs when I was really young. The last one we had was an iMac, and it was just as much of a disaster as my first laptop. So I can't trust that Macs are all of that much better. I'll just go with the cheaper option. It does just fine in most cases.

Yeah, Macs are only really expensive because Apple overcharges for their product. If you make a mac and pc that extremely close hardware wise the mac will cost about $1,200 more.

I'm going to have to say PC. Macs are apparently annoying to load download files on.

Same thing. The only thing that prevents you from installing Windows on a Mac and MacOS on a PC is legal technicalities.

Sort of this. I'd be willing to try Lion or whatever if I didn't have to purchase a computer for an asinine amount. However, because I'm a cheap bastard, I'm going with Windows based machines.

FYI: I have Windows XP dual-booted onto my MacBook Pro.

Anyway, I mainly like Mac for it's proffesional usefulness and stability. I can honestly say I have never got a virus once. Plus I like it's utilities and tools, especially for making movies/music.

But I love my Windows XP because it can play all my games, and it's just easier to use in other areas as well. I like how I can

I would have to say PC, just because I use it much more, and that it can hold most of the stuff I use.

I've always had Mac laptops and they have been really easy to use in my opinion.
