Sorry if this has already been posted, but I couldn't find it;

Anyway, to answer the title myself, my first anime movie was Castle in the Sky and first show was Pokemon, what was yours?

Although I can't really expect myself to know what was the very first anime I've watched since i've probably been watching em since before I know what anime was actually referring to. Considering as a child assumed anything animated as a cartoon. Though if memory serves me right, i'd say that Ninja Scroll would be the first. The movie not the show though, if there is a show that is. If so, should be obvious that I haven't really watched it haha.

I believe the first anime I watched was Pokemon, though I didn't considered it anime at the time or even know what anime was for the matter.

My Neighbor Totoro was my first anime. Not the re-release with Dakota Fanning, the one they released in 1993.

The first anime I watched was Saint Seiya because I still have the VHS of the movie that I begged dad to buy after I fell in love with the series when I was a kid. After that was Rurouni Kenshin, Pokemon and Digimon. First anime I watched on the big screen was Pokemon 2000

I think it was between Sailor Moon or Transformers, one of those two.

I think mine was Pokemon or Ranma 1/2.
I really am not sure though.

Sailor Moon, back before I even knew what anime or even what animation really was.

Ah... I was such a naive, impressionable squirt back then.

I'm going to automatically assume Pokémon, but with the actual knowledge it was anime, Naruto.

Since I can not remember what I watched when i was a wee one, I will go with Phantom of Inferno. It is what I watched to get me into what I now call anime as an adult.

Um. The original Dragon Ball. Not DBZ, Just Dragon Ball. And that was before I knew what anime was-and that was when it aired on FoxKids on Saturday mornings...oxo After that it was Pokemon-and really-*that* was what dragged me into the anime world...WooT.

Well at the time I didn't even know what anime was, so I don't know if it counts, but Sailor Moon.

First show I watched that I knew was anime, Hellsing.

Ranma 1/2 was my first and still is my favorite! It wasn't easy to watch either. I had to wait two weeks for my grandpa to send a VHS tape in the mail with all the new episodes. Soooo worth the wait :D

I suppose I'd posted in a thread similar to this, and frankly, I can't really remember what my first anime was. I can only assume it must have been Digimon or something. I recall seeing Astro Boy a few times, but it wasn't my first. ;o_o

For me, like a lot of people, my first anime were Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z, and Sailor Moon, and also Card Captors. Actually, Card Captor Sakura vol. 1 was the first manga I ever purchased when I was younger. Hahaha.

Like hell if I could remember what I watched when I was 3 (if not younger). I've been watching anime for as long as I can remember.

But technically speaking, I started to become an "official" anime fanboy after watching Death Note (and it was the first thing I watched in Japanese, by the way). So that's my "first", or more like "gateway" to anime fandom. And that was around the time I joined AF.

Pokemon! <3
I must have been... 3 or so. I knew it was an anime, because my friend started drawing "anime" when he was like 4 (he's older than me) xD.
My first "real" anime was Wolf's Rain.

Pokemon/Digimon :3 When I was about 7/8 or so

Then when I actually realised what it was, I started on the Studio Ghibli films and eventually my first recognised anime was Yu-Gi-Oh! :D
