View Full Version : Would Sailor Moon or Saint Seyia be more popular

I don't want to make this a VS. battle, i am just curious on everyone elses opinion, but today some one I meet online randomly and got into a internet fight. She/He (no idea if they are a boy or girl) believed that Saint Seyia was more popular, and more viewed and well known then Sailor Moon. Now I have never seen Saint Seyia, but I have heard of it, and its one of the anime I plan on watching eventually. Any way the person said it was superior to Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z. Which I find hard to believe, because Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z are well known animes, and extremely popular, and I only heard of Saint Seyia VIA my friend. So I am wondering am I right, or are they right.

P.S Did I post this in the right section?

I can't speak for countries the world over, but in the US Sailor Moon is far more popular. Saint Seyia did not do well here at all, but there are still smaller groups of dedicated fans around, as with most things.

Saint Seiya was once popular but it didn't make as much of an impact on the US as DBZ or Sailor Moon so I guess I'd say Sailor Moon. Nonetheless, Knights of the Zodiac did make my childhood very good ;w;

Heard the name saint seiya. But by far Sailor moon is and will always be more popular. Especially in the U.S. at least. I remember when sailor moon things used to fill the toy stores. And actually shows like Sailor moon and DBZ is the leading cause of an anime addiction. People watch them as kids thinking nothing of it's origin. Then as they get older they discover the rest of the world of anime.... Typically in "when did you first discovered anime" threads sailor moon and DBZ are always a reoccurring theme.
