hmm I don't know what is wrong..but seems to me there is. I was going for a spring look with the bg it is Cherry Blossoms and I enlarged the photo and filtre it with a motion blur.

Then I wanted to make like frame in a frame type a deal using the same bg within the frame only smaller version but it didn't look right..so I decided to put in the fountain.. Don't know anymore.. I am really looking for suggestions and opinions. :)

I like the frame design, i think if you put a light color outline on the inner frame, it would come out more. Second, if you were the one that put that pencil filter on the background, lessen it a little bit. The characters are a bit grainy, clean those up and you have a quality wall.

besides what onslaught said, check the bottom of the "photo"; it's not lined up with the border.

Besides what the other have said, I'm not fond of the colors and the frame is hard on my eyes, but that's just me.

ok I fixed up the graininess but I know there are still some jagged lines..any idea how I can fix that easily?

I changed the colour of the bg to a blue ..I thought as well the pink was hard on my eyes too.

Changed the frame to white and move the two characters down.

Tell me what you think..:) oh by the way I got two version..couldn't decide..but in the

Version 2a tell me if the characters look better in normal colours, if so, then I can work on the extraction that is worth it..if..Version 2b looks better then I will work from there..

I feel there is but dont' know what else..

EDIT: Fixed the frame a bit..and add text but I think it is unnecessary...or it may need to be moved somewhere.. added some leaves...

I think i like the last one the best...
but the edges of the characters are a little jagged

i like the colors in the latest version better. It's very pretty. If you want to make it not-so-monotone, you could make the characters black and white, and then color certain parts of the characters blue (like an article of clothing, a ribbon, etc).

so I did a litle bit of it..and before I proceed with it more..I thought I post it here to make sure I was on the right track or not..

ok I will see what I can do to smooth out the jagged edges..

ok I think I somewhat fixed the jagged edges by using the smudge tool.
