I wrote a guy in prison about a few weeks ago. Two days ago I got a 3 page reply back. Never again will I talk to someone in prison. I couldn't read their handwriting either :/

lol, prison in rhode island is probably different then most,i wasen't even in a cell except in intake,i was in a 68 man dorm, which sucks even more.

my son turns 1 on may 14th,the hardest thing was missing time with him and my girlfriend,but watching DBZ kai every saturday mourning got me thru, saw goku go ssj day before i got out.lol

So how was prison? Do you get tvs and stuff? What about activities? Do you just play sports or can you do stuff like art or engineering?

you get 10 days good time a month in jail,you can order a little clear radio that has earbuds and a tv,you can make store orders every week and get food,mostly candy but alot of ramennoodles that you put cheese and meat into,but you have to use hot water to heat everything,there was a gym with a basketball court abd weights in it,plus the library and classrooms for programs,outside you can play softball or walk around the field or use 1 of 6 payphones.

You could watch anime? WOW!!! How lucky. When I was in jail for the 19 days I had to do, all I ever got to watch were Novellas.

On an even more serious note, why would we have any 'questions'? If anyone who remembered you did have anything they'd like to say, I'd like to think they'd leave you a private message to avoid the random internets from mocking your situation. I mean, who wouldn't drop the soap after being in jail for a year?

You guys should feel ashamed of yourselves for posting such inconsiderate messages. Next time, try to put yourself in the other person's shoes before you joke about the droppage of cleansing agents. Imagine: Your in a shower full of men, when all of a sudden your hand slips from the Irish Spring to which you were lathering your appealing body with (you know its appealing because other'sve complimented it whilst your entering the shower). Now the froth runs down your legs as you stare at the green bar and you feel another inmate's form intimately close against your back. What's funny in any of this? Nothing - that's what. Like I said before, you should be ashamed of yourself for finding humor in someone else's struggles with soap droppage.

I know right. It sounds like he's not lying or trolling like SOME people have done with threads on here. Also, people should get off being grammar nazis to members, you make yourself look like an a** in the forum. Not everyone is great at grammar, especially if English is not their first language. I know it's important to write properly, cause then people who don't know how to read English that well can understand you, but if you understand what the person is saying, it's pointless to b**** about it to people, unless you are teaching a language class or the person asks you for grammar help. If a person's grammar is honestly bugging you that much, then pm them and talk to them about it. I know this is a forum site, and it's good to know how to write properly, but some people don't, but still want to share things about themself and their ideas and opinions on things, and that typically is the main point of a forum site, to share your opinions on things.

Simon Phoenix , I have always wondered what it is like to be in jail. Being with a dorm full of guys from prison sounds really scary. Did fights break out? Did anyone try to fight you? Did you get beat up? Did you join a prison gang? Although you were in jail, did the staff ever provide anything educational to you guys? Like what classes were offered, and was there anything else educational to do? What did you do in jail for fun and did you do anything educational? Did you make any friends in jail? That sucks that you were not there to be with your girlfriend and your son, but at least you were not gone for more than a year, meaning you can still have a good relationship with the both of them if you try. It sounds like you care about them which is good, so I'm sure you are probably trying. What have you been up to since you have been out of jail? Have you tried looking for a job or doing anything to help out with your girlfriend and your guy's child?
