I submitted the official lyrics for the Nichijou OP Kakakata Kataomoi just now, and I have started translating the lyrics, but I there are some parts that sound a bit awkward to me, or words I can't find in any dictionary. So any suggestions for the translation and formulation are appreciated.

噛む can mean to stumble on one's words, so 噛みまくり = to keep stuttering (because of nervousness)


マミムメモ could be interpreted as an onomatopoeia, like "mmmm, uhhhhh, hmmmm..." basically filler words to break the awkward silence. Alternatively, the speaker is trying to articulate his/her speech after s/he just stuttered again and again.

For some reason this has been bugging me for a while,
that although we are friends,

さっぶい --> さぶい --> さむい (cold)
Have you heard of cold jokes (寒いジョーク)? They are jokes that are awkwardly funny only because they're not actually funny. For example, this simple line: "石はおいしい！" (The rock is delicious!). The joke here is that おいしい could also be taken as お + いし (石), so 石はお石！ It's not actually funny, but that's the point of cold jokes.
I reckon a "cold nickname" would be a lame/not-really-funny nickname.
