The text over the character is hard to read since its nearly the same color, other than that its a good wall.

Maybe you should just do the text on the plain white space, because pretty much any text thats over the character will be hard to read.

I agree with onslaught. I would also then make the name appear to be with the background text, but have it a darker shade so that it stands out more. Do you get what I mean? sorry if I am confusing you.

Ok I suggest you move the bold words the white space rather than as a long sentence. It seem too clumped together and may it allow the users to fit the bolded words back to the sentence. Seems confusing what I just said but ya..umclump is what I mean. :)
