Need to know the meaning of a (japanese?) symbol. Square with | |- inside it.

That looks pretty close, except the symbol i'm thinking of, on the left side, instead of a curve, it is a straight line, with the curve on the left. Like a sideways T
The symbol i'm looking at was hand drawn, so maybe it is 4, but the difference between a curve and a line is often substantial. >.>

Handwriting and print do tend to differ...
You can draw the symbol yourself and upload it here to make it easier for everyone to "picture" it.
After all, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Whoa! That does not look like any Chinese/Japanese character I've seen...
Either it's simply not, or it's overly stylized.

Actually, can I see the picture? Not that I want to see the middle finger, lol, but I'm determined to find out if it is an actual character...

For sure now that is not a character lol.
It could be a stamp signature, seeing how it's shaped a square and colored red.
