So, it's pulling an Alan Wake.
Spend so much time in development that when the game is finally released, all of it's features have been done heavily and extensively.

Either way, I'm not impressed. I'll hold judgment till the game is actually released.

I've always said that game production time should correlate with overall quality.

So, sure, I don't mind if it takes.. 10+ years for a game to be finished, but.. it'd better be the greatest game I've ever played!

Whoa... Is it me or the game trailer reminds me of Halo, Crysis and Half-Life crunched together and throw in obscenity to make it good? No wonder it take 12 years with all the major hiccups to make this. I hope it's worth the time and effort.

Problem is... It's just that 3DR wasted money and then they didn't have enough for completing the game, they asked their headcompany for more, think it was 4 or 6 million dollars, they got half but they TURNED IT DOWN, which makes me wonder.
Also alot of court stuff was on, then they sold it to Gearbox and now they're finishing it.
If it reminds you of any of those games, it's what you see, I just see something good coming this way, and I will be the first to know. ;D

As seen from content stuff that was released april 2010(can't remember if this is right), it would look like it had the weapon system that Modern Warfare uses, but I really think Gearbox will hold on to classic Duke Nukem 3D, if not, I just hope it won't be like Borderlands except it's Duke, it's just dumb.
All we can do is hope right now, atleast we got a set date, myself I am almost going insane from the wait on the First Access demo. :)

Censoring the whole game(this means EVERY copy) would ruin it totally(except for total hardcore fans) but they will still make censorship in certain countries because of the violence and such, which is both good and bad, you can still pre-order it or buy it from Steam(if Gearbox decides to have it there).
But I think minimal censorship will be, as no one wanna see Duke take a piss I think(O_O), and I don't think much will be, but they'll probably release a "kid friendly" version without nude women and all the gore.

Geez, they won't make it AO, they WILL set it to a level where kids can play(I don't mean censor and such, I meant the rating), it's Duke for gods sake, the game people have been waiting for on such a long time, I got DN3D and Manhattan, DN3D is amusing for actually having GORE, I don't like games like MW2 and so for the little sake of blood(by this I mean, it takes away the realistic feeling and makes it boring to look at), nudity and such is a "bonus", nowadays parents don't care much(as far as I know, many parents doesn't care when their kids play those nasty games or the super gorey stuff).

Either you talk about the game itself or stop spamming.
Chuck Norris jokes are overrated, it's fun once or twice, but later, it's not, if both were to engage in battle, Duke would win cause of his giant muscles protecting most of his body, and one hit on little Chuck would mean the end.

I remember playing the old Dukes with my dad when I was but a wee little lass. In fact, we popped a dusty copy into the Playstation last time I was there during the holidays and I FINALLY got to wreck him in VS. mode. Granted, the games weren't that "good," but they were fun as hell anyway. :D Hopefully this one will follow in the tradition.

It could be the worst game ever created.

I will still purchase it, as it seems almost like the duty of every gamer who played Duke3D on an obsessive level.

Plus, I'm so sick of the realistic grimdark shooters. I never thought I'd say it but...Duke Nukem will be a refreshing change of ****ing pace for once.

Nah, they won't censor the pissing because that's a normal duke thing.

And the comment about the "kid friendly" version made me smile a bit.

As for my take on DNF, even if it lives up to the hype it took like 12 years anyway and made the studio who was originally doing it get sued because they took too long.

I'm really only a fan of platformer duke. For the young 'uns that's Duke 1 & 2, just google it. Duke 1 was ok, Duke 2 was good ;)

It went gold. So the game is finally coming...Not that excited anymore, but still, the game finally is coming. lol
