Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars

Pros:

  • Brings back classic gameplay and live cutscenes.
  • Brings back classic units and adds new units.
  • Player has more control over buildings.
  • New Scrin side.
  • Great graphics.

Cons:

  • Harvesters sometimes wander into enemy bases for Tiberium.
  • Short Scrin campain.
  • Game price range from $50 to $60.
  • Can only have a maximum of 4 players in one online ranked/clan match.

At last, the next Command & Conquer is finally out after four years of absence. Has the game changed everything we know about C&C? Let's find out...

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars

The Story (Spoiler): The GDI and Nod start with an unoffical cease fire and everyone was in peace. Until the brotherhood of Nod launched a missle and destroyed a GDI space station and begins the next Tiberium War. A twist in the story is the aliens called the Scrin come to invade Earth. Players wil play as GDI or Nod, fight against the GDI or Nod, and repel the alien invasion at the same time.

Graphics-5/5: The graphics are great. By just looking at them, your looking at the next generation of RTS. Most C&C players may notice that the graphics was transfered from Generals, but were happy with that.

Gameplay-5/5: Well, the gameplay hasn't changed a single bit, but I'm happy to report that the gameplay was brought back from the classic Command & Conquer games, which is much easier to use than Generals. Also, new elements like power mode (the ability to turn your unneeded buildings off at your will) makes commanding much easier. This mixes with The Sims and Sim City for fantastic gameplay. There's also a new campain where you can play as Scrin but the Scrin campaign is short but EA will be saving the Scrin campaign for the expansion pack. Although that you can only have a maximum of 4 players per online match during a ranked/clan mathch, you can still play 8 players online.

A.I.-5/5: In skirmihes you can change enemy difficulty and make adjustments to their personality for some challenge like "rusher" or "turtle", but the A.I. in campains can't be changed but give players challenge in both campains and skirmishes. The only issue about the A.I. is the Harvesters. When the Tiberium field deplets, the Harvesters start looking for more Tiberium and can sometimes wonder into enemy territory.

Sound-5/5: Well, I have to admit the sounds of war is nice but what gets the game interesting is the voice acting. People such as Grace Park and Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Glactica), Michael Ironside (Lost), and Josh Holloway (Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell Games) have employed by EA makes the game fun to watch and play.

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars

Overall-5/5: The other issue is the game's price. Buying a brand new game is starting to eat up more money faster than buying a PS3. The regular edition of Tiberium Wars cost $50 and the Kane Edition cost $60. But in the end, Command & Conquer is one of the best RTS games we haven't seen in a long time. If you can afford the game at a high price, you can be sure this game can be worth it and worth you time.
