What Is Chobits About?

i've heard o chobits every where and i have yet to fully underastand what its about. it soiunds interesting. can someone explain a little about it?

In the near future, personal computers take the form attractive women, called Persocons (editorial note: "persocons" actually means PC or personal computer in Japanese). Hideki Motosuwa is a poor student who failed his entrance exams to get into college. So, Hideki is forced to move to the city, get a job, and attend cram school in hopes of passing the next college entrance exam. He of course, wants a Persocon for himself, but is way too poor to afford one. One day, while passing a building, we finds a Persocon in a trash heap. However, his new find doesn't seem to be like the others he's heard about. She doesn't seem to have any operating system at all, and only says "Chii". As Hideki learns more about his Persocon (aptly named "Chii"), he finds that she is not of any known type, and most likely some sort of homemade model. He also learns of the rumor of the "Chobits", Persocons with the ability to think for themselves, instead of running only complex programs.
It's a fairly cute CLAMP show, and a sequel to angelic layer. good show, and reccomended..

i heard the anime is bad, and i personnally think the manga is muuuuuuuuch better in graphics. I think the anime looks ugly ( no offence for those who have a chii avatar)
and the story-well its the deepest series i know, there is soooo much philosophy in there! crazy o.0; and great, makes you think a bit

Sorry I have to disagree with you there. Nothing from CLAMP is ugly including Chobits. The manga is just more enjoyable but theres nothing wrong with the anime in my point of view. Chobits it meant for REAL CLAMP fans. come on Anime is the type of thing when you either like or don't. Chobits is a winner!

i am a CLAMP fan XD,and i love Chobits, and have no problem with anime ^^
and in a way i cant really have a good opinion since ive never watched the anime, but from the picts i see, its just that i dont like chii's hair and eyes, they lack in depth, but thats just my point of vew

T_T I actually liked how Chi looked. I liked the fact that she actually LOOKS different from your common Animegirl. She's really cute and has unique features. :^_^:

All I care about in an Anime <sure Manga/Manwha too> is the STORY and LOOk < meaning it HAS to at least LOOk anime and nice ... not like that old-school garbage look it use to have. h34r: :blink:

I LOVE Chobits. :wub: ... i only saw 2 episodes.....but ive have read the episode gides and looked at pictures with sub titles on the bottom, i think Chii is sooooo cute, and i like her design, she looks like a 14 or 13 year old girl and she looks soo sweet, even when she douse something stupid.....and the story like is great, even when Hideki freaks out all the time...its so funny..... :lol:

All I have to say is that you should defintly watch it and make your own decsion. I was told by a good friend that is was a good anime. Well let me tell you something I think it is one of the best anime I have ever seen. Chii is so damn cute, and when she say "Chii" just make me want to have a persocom myself. I really liked the story and I liked how they made it always made me say to myself I wonder what happens next.

It's one of the anime that make you not want to stop watching it. I am kinda disappointed that there was only 24 episodes. I was hoping the ending could of waited. I wanted more story. Chii makes this anime. You ask yourself I hear so much about it and I bet you have heard that it is good no one who has actually watched it said it was horriable. Just watch it Chobits was one of my first anime movies I have ever seen and I havent been able to find another one that was as good!!!! "Z"

about a especial robot chii...especial because she is a chobits...chobits can think for themseves and has the power emotion....then chiii and hideki fall inlove....basically this is about...how human begin to love persocoms than humans.......

ok, first off, not all the persocoms are female, there are male ones too. I mean have you guys seen the anime or the manga. there are people walking around with male persocoms
