What's better, the anime or the manga?

Okay seriously, what's better for rurouni kenshin, the anime or the manga? Because I have read the manga but have heard some really bad things about the anime's that they have made for it, I just don't want to ruin the series by watching something bad...

So, what's better?

sure, but how accurate are they to each other? close or far? and how many fillers are there? stuff like that, but still, I think i should check it out

In my opinion the anime is worth watching, nicely done.

Okay this is how it is I usually watch an anime before I read the manga depending on the circumstances on which was created first though mostly it's obvious the manga or visual novel came first. The manga and anime always include things that were not in the other in the case of anime it's fillers "re-written scenarios" and a slight tendency for you to either be addicted or truly hate what it did to the series. In the case of manga there are more crucial story elements better endings and is definitely worth taking a look for a first-timer or long-running fan of a series. This is all imo mind you but if you have time to spare don't worry about how much something differs if you like the series watch the anime and read the manga it's much more satisfying to your otaku ego if you do I believe. Guess that's about it sorry if my posts seem like rants or something just like to babble any more questions and i'd love to answer to the best of my ability until then ja ne ~de arimasu

Well...I found the manga to be kind of boring, but I remember the anime was good enough to keep me entertained, I liked it. So I guess my vote goes to the anime, but someone who has read more of the manga might say otherwise.

but as i said before, I think I will watch Kenshin after I finish up with Fate/Stay Night
