Mins about Trunks.

For me Trunks is the beshounen at DBZ & DBGT. He is handsome & gentle.He love's his parent (Vegeta & Bulma).He got his hair from his grandpa Dr. Briefs (the scientist).He is also a genius like his mother & his grandpa.And strong like his father Vegeta.

I (don't) hate to say this to you, but Trunks (especially the one from this time) is a great a nerd (if not a greater one) than Gohan. Why are so many female fans OBSESSED with the pink haired dweeb? Please, I'm gonna go bonkers if someone doesn't at least try to explain this to me.
It's like calling Steve Howe a dork and then fawning over Robert Fripp at all hours, or vice versa. Neither are gonna attract many women. It seems nuts to me, what you're doing, that's all...

Napa was muscular, as was Raditz (and Piccolo, Hercule, Yamcha, Tien...the whole assortment of characters, nearly). I can honestly say I've never seen anyone go ga-ga over them. Your comment still does not explain the obsession.

Trunks is okay. I liked it when Trunks defeated Frieza and exchanged techniques with Goku when he got back. Out of all the Super Saiyan hair, he's got the coolest. He is a gentleman(tsk, tsk, tsk, Vegeta sure as heck isn't).

Although I'm not sure if Hercule has girl fans that like him THAT way, I'm fairly certain the others do. >_>

Though having a personality deeper than 2 cm is a bonus, too. And Trunks is from THA FUTUR

As for why Trunks would be better than Gohan, I 'unno. Personal preference.

As for why Trunks would be better than Gohan, I 'unno. Personal preference.

1) His face is shaped exactly like Vegeta's (check it with tranparencies if you doubt me)! How in the world can he still be attractive with such a face, hair that shifts between pink and purple (depending on which disposable assistant animator draws a particular anime scene), and his Gohan-esque attitude? I only want to understand the fascination...
2) Hercule also has money, something the others mentioned lack (Yamcha probably squandered his and Piccolo stubbornly refuses to materialize currencies). Money, on its own, is enough to attract those seen fawning over Hercule.
3) I was unaware that one could quantify a personality, let alone with linear units...hmm...anyway... It's an anime aimed mostly at guys; there are rarely any rounded characters. Trunks (either one) is definitely not a developed character; his personality and behavior suddenly appear (just as he does) with little explanation, and few vulnerabilities are shown. The only rounded character in all of the Dragonball series is Hercule, actually.
4) So you'd be affectionate towards Amputee Gohan, too? Cell's from "THA FUTUR," too, but I bet you don't gaze longinly at a picture of the grasshopper...
5) Yamcha is a (comparatively) weak imbecile who inevitably loses in the first round of every competition he enters.

I would have to agree with my alter ego. Trunks not only looks like Vegeta, but he also has the stature of the Prince. He is also a dork in his own way because he is always trying to do the right thing at the wrong time, so he always messes up. Also, just because he is from the future does not mean he is "cool".

I'm not trying to be a pest or anything. I'm just curious why the whole Trunks phenomenon exists.
I felt like your answers (everyone's) didn't reconcile well with either the anime or the manga, so I concluded that there must be other reasons not stated here and I asked for further details.
