setting "normal" shinigamis aside which of these two would you prefer to be?

Vaizard: shinigami's endowed with hollow abilities

Arrancar: hollows who took off their masks to gain shinigami powers

choose which you think is better and state why...

Both equally. They are about the same strength on average, and only look different. The Vaizards look cool because of their masks(see: Ichigo), and the Arrancar Resurreccion is awesome as well, especially for the Espada(see: Grimmjow).

they may look equally cool but there are always defining differences between the two, like the arrancar having "steel skin"(skin infused with huge amounts spirit power that is able to block swords). in the vaizard's side, i dont know much except for the fact that they can explosively increase spirit force for a short peroid of time (like ichigo).

personally, i'd be an arrancar and be one of the coveted "espada". becuse of the ability to block swords bare handed and to take on opponents bare handed as well (grimmjow). and the cool, white outfit

Haha I don't think the Vaizard's are Saints. Their real role in the war between Soul Society and Aizen has yet to be discovered. Hachi seems the nicest out of the bunch but Hiyori seems like she'll knock the lights out of anyone that bugs her.

Personally I'd be a Vaizard. Being an arrancar would mean that I would have to take orders from Aizen or high ranked Arrancars/Espada so I would feel more like a soldier than a warrior. The Vaizard are united with a common cause (I hope) and seem to show more comradery(sp?) with one another.

Even though not a lot of information has been revealed about the Vaizards, with only Ichigo's experiences to go by, I would definitely be one.

Vizards, seem more in control of themeselves once they are in that stage, then again I'm probably saying this because of how the anime depicts each side.

Not all of the Arrancar turn big. Only one was shown who actually got big, and that was the bull-themed one. Spoiler:
Grimmjow actually gets thinner in his Resurreccion state, and is given more of a panther theme.

They are both equally better in their own ways when it comes to ability, power and total capacity. But seeing as how things in the manga are going so far, I'm rather amazed and stunned by the arrancars, particularly the Espada's constant show off of real forms and powers that were fairly spectacular. Ichigo being the only representative atm from the Vaizard's side has also been showing distinctive qualities since the rampage, which then is evident to the Vaizards merit. Still, I favor the arrancars. Maybe, for now. =)

I would go with the Arrancar since all of the fights with them so far have been awesome. Plus, we still haven't seen the rest of the Espada. Just look at Ulquiorra and Grimmjow. They seem pretty strong. And their white outfits are wicked =P

I would have to say Vizard, since they are more human like. The arancar seem too beastly which makes sinse since they are hollows.
