Coffee smells better than it tastes, I think. It has a nice smell but it's like drinking warmed up street puddles.

Foods/drinks that smell better than they taste or vice versa

I have to agree with the coffee, I love the smell of coffee even though I don't drink much of it
The same thing goes to Popcorn, I love the smell of popcorn when its being done, but there is nothing much to talk about when it comes to its taste

durian tarts they smell so friggin delish but they taste so friggin awful :P

A good one would be Vanilla!
Vanilla when not added to anything smells like heaven, but when you try to give it a taste *yuck* not good at all, so bitter
