I still don't know why they made the male avatar look so boring again. -__-; The female character is so much more well designed.
Why couldn't they get the same style outfit like ruby and sapphire? the one for the guy was awesome.

I'd prefer it if they give the option of customizing your character. That way, a majority of people would enjoy the game a bit better.
YES, please!!
maybe they're planning that for the center installment? I sure hope so. that would be great, and another excellent way of making use of the currency in the game. (which imo is underused.)
The Brighter the Light the Darker the Shadow
I can't be the only one who noticed that if your pokémon is at a much higher level than the pokémon it just KO'd, then the experience your pokémon receives is also considerably less... In the past 4 generations, exp points received is always fixed; this time it seems to be partially proportional to the level difference between the two pokémon...
The Brighter the Light the Darker the Shadow
No, you wouldn't be the only who noticed that. Personally, I quite like it.
What what what? DX DX *dies* That's preposterous, I think the male avatar looks phenomenal. Though I will say that I had a hard time choosing one, I almost chose a girl, but went for the guy instead cause of the hat.
@Ensifer: Hellz...Yeah!!!
And wait, so is that why it takes a crapload to lvl my Dewott? Well I guess its okay. Just to make sure, what does EV stand for?

I wanted to pick the girl too, but I thought I'd save her until they come out with pokemon.. "gray"? lol. idk.
The Brighter the Light the Darker the Shadow
So anyone picked up Victini yet?

it's all about 'give and take'.
Somethings are going to be left out, but will always come back, while newer features are tested out. Seeing as how each game has slowly gotten better than the last, I'm not QQing that much over it.
Though, when I first started playing this one, I thought they were going to leave out the running shoes since you always get them right away. I was like "nuuuuu ;~;"
hey now.. it takes a lot of experience and training to get through some of the most tricky areas of the battle frontier. That's where the most intense battles happen, and every little bit of stats increase really count.

Ah, nice. Just caught a Munna.
This thing is actually pretty cool.
The Brighter the Light the Darker the Shadow
Ugh! Psychic pokémon haunts me in the new game. I didn't have any Dark/Ghost pokémon to counter them, and my main pokémon Pignite (evolved from Tepig) was part Fighting, so I always had a hard time with Psychic. That stupid bird in the desert...Sigilyph, is Psychic/Flying, almost made me rip my hair out.
you could always use bug-types. :3
The Brighter the Light the Darker the Shadow
Bug...? Meh, most Bug Pokémon you encounter in the beginning are quite weak, not to mention they don't have any powerful Bug-type attacks, so I don't ever bother with them.
The only Bug Pokémon I have used as a regular member of my team was Yanmega from Gen IV lol.
And oh no's, a scary psychic-user XD. My favorite type is Dragon, but they only appear very late in the game =(
I know what effort is, I just refer to it as E-points. Though I mostly worried about that in Emerald since it had an epic battle fronteir. D/P/Pl not so much so I didnt care much about that, I'd rather collect the pokemon in that game. I still need Shaymin and Arceus though. >__>
animeyay; And there are a lot of dark Pokemon int this game, you could have just picked one up. @__@
True..
Though I am glad that they've added more ghost types. there were only the 3 back in the first gen. @__@
Anyone think they should add any more types like they did with dark and steel, or have they pretty much hit equilibrium?
The Brighter the Light the Darker the Shadow
Well they should add better rock types. Most of the rock types before were always part ground, which would give them multiple weaknesses. They need to strengthen the rock types.
I do like how there is more ghost and dark types. Idk if they did or not but they should make a better moveset for bugs. They're one of the only ones who dont have a 120 point damage attack
You see, I don't ever keep a pure Dark pokémon as one of my regulars. In fact, I don't keep any Dark pokémon at all as long as another one of my pokémon with a fairly high Attack stat knows Crunch... Dark pokémon are just too fragile (with the exception of Umbreon I guess.) But I did start training Sandile (Ground/Dark) after I caught it. It's fairly strong, and Ground is always vital to have.
However, the number of Water Pokémon is scarce... I still have only one right now and I'm already on my 5th gym...
I think they could add a new type that's at least super-effective against Steel. Steel's just wayyyyyy too tough.
On a random note, no new Eeveelutions this time...sad face

Well, Dark-ghosts types have 0 weaknesses.
lol, how many more eeveelutions can they make?
I still think they should make an evolved form of lapras. that would be EPIC
