What Do You Think is Beyond Space...?

What do you picture/imagine to be beyond all of the stars and galaxies and what nots, and is at the end of it all? (if their is an end and not some endless loop).

I think that us and our whole universe and beyond it etc is just bacteria on some rotting piece of food in a much bigger world than ours. That would make us and our world non-seeable germs or something. That is one of my thoughts

When I was little I used to sometimes think that I was being watched all my life by some people and was put here for entertainment or an experiment, like this was all made for me. My family and friends could be actors. I used to look in the mirror and think their was a man behind it or a camera of some sort. (paranoid)

Or maybe we are just a programme developed by some fat, loser and are in some form of super computer or something.

Then ofcourse there may be a parallel universe or just plain black/white.

As for the actual question :/ Well, I don't even think about space that much- let alone what's past it.
It's because of all the unanswered questions like how did it all start and what is outside the universe that I barely believe in what people say is true now :/

Personally, I don't think it matters. I live in a very small world that rarely extends out of my town. As long as I'm happy where I am, I'm good.

What lies beyond this Universe is beyond the comprehension of man. Even the collective minds of greatest scientist, scholars and thinkers from days of early civilization to modern telescope that able to optically (further if being view in infra-red or X-Ray spectrum) view nearly 15 billions light-years into the deepness of space (with the help of gravitational lens) cannot accurately define and prove it logically. We're still hypothetically trying to define what is dark matter and the elusive dark energy that dominates nearly 96% of what's in the Universe itself.

I guess it lies in the fantasy of one's mind and perceptive. I, myself wouldn't know and comprehend what awaits us if we able to cross boundary of this Universe.

There can be something besides space and nothingness, but it isn't beyond it in any sense we're used to thinking about beyond. It exists in mathematics.

What is really relevant is what the universe is. As far as we can tell, the universe is a four dimensional mathematical object (or eleven dimensional, if you're a string theorist): A function of some multidimensional initial variables.

So, the question is not whether there are other universes, but if there are other mathematical objects. We know this is true. Any half-accomplished mathematician can construct such objects. Granted, most of them are dull, but some are complex and interesting like ours. In fact, Conway's game of life is a simple universe.

There can't be more space beyond space, because if there is, you're not beyond space. Theoretically, the universe has an outer limit. I know your teacher has told you the universe is endless, but that is a slightly modified truth. It isn't endless, it's just expanding so fast it's impossible to ever reach the edge.

Someone explained this to me once, but I don't really remember it, and I didn't get it much back then. The way I understood it, The Big Bang was basically the start of the expansion of the universe. Eventually, the universe will stop expanding and start contracting again towards the precise point that the Big Bang happened, and eventually all of the matter that comprises the universe will be condensed into one tiny little singularity at the "center" of the universe - until the pressure builds up so much that it causes The Big Bang again.

I have no idea how truthful that is, but it sounds cool.

It's expanding into nothing, and by nothing I don't mean empty space, I mean the absence of space. And for bonus headache, it's not just the edge of space, it's also the edge of time (the two are sides of the same coin).

I try not to think of the Unthinkable o.o... My best Assumption would be just empty Space... or Another universe size system.. or unlimited galaxy's.. Not like Humans have actually identified the Edge of Space... And we Got a hell of a long way to go... Even if we Get space transport Able to travel Speed of Light.. we'd be dead before we got anywhere significant. Other Galaxys are 1000's of Light years away.. Gonna have to go alot faster then Speed of light to get there ^^.

This is what separates physicists from other people. We think about these things, and we like it. It's like eating spicy foods, you grow to love it.

i think that is ridiculous to assume that there aren't any worlds beyond our own. sure its a bit of a longshot to have the correct conditions to have a planet able to support life but the galaxies are infinite

i think beyond space, if anyone was to ever reach this impossibility (space is built so we cant ever reach the edges or other life inhabiting planets), someone would see a Whole lot of nothing, possibly white, or just black, darker that any darkness youve ever seen and once entering this nothingness i figure 1 of 2 things can happen
#1: the person or thing would evaporate, since nothing can exist in nothingness (i assume)
oR
#2: upon reaching one end of space and entering the nothingness the person would instantly end up back on the other end, (sort of like pacman when u enter one opening on the edges you re appear on the other side)

I've thought about this a few times actually. I think space either doesn't end at all or at some point at the edge of it, there's just nothing but pitch black and that as Eris stated it's exapnding so fast it's basically impossible to see the edge, because of it moving that fast. I lean more towards the second theory though. Maybe it expands infintely fast somehow?
