my girl friends love watching k-pop more than watching anime, that's why i only talk about anime when i'm with my boy friends...

Yes. Every single school student I've seen on the 'nets who said they told their class that they watch anime said that they regretted it. Personally I figured out I shouldn't tell anyone long before, so I stayed safe.

Think about it. Half of the crap anime fans have to deal with is about others not being able to get over it. (The other half is people's reactions towards the extraordinary stupidity most anime fans tend to exhibit nowadays... which people end up associating with "anime", of course.)

lol as much as i hate to admit it this is true, i was careless in HS i admited to watching anime like i did not care. yeah i pretty much graduated without ever having a GF my entire grade school career. the general pop wasn't really having me. and the "Anime club" was scary so i just went home lol

Tell her that you need something to help you get away from everything, and that watching anime is your escape. Tell her you're actually doing her a favor, because instead of going out and getting drunk and doing drugs and such, you're setting at home watching anime, and having stimulating conversations with friends about it. And tell her that she should watch an anime with you sometime,.
