1) Patience(IF i don't like it I throw it away. I really suck at being patient with drawings)
If I frell it up and try to go back I always fail to fix it.
2) The ability to see flaws(Stopping and continuing later helps a lot although I suck at this part sometimes) It's weird but I wont notice a lot of things until I look at the drawing about a week later and then I'll notice all the parts that are really bad suddenly. I think it has to do with the fact that it's too hard to concentrate on everything at once. When I do a perfect drawing I think it sucks but then when I look at it later it has no flaws.
Never could figure out why.
3) A good imagination and spacial abilities.
4) A mechanical pencil or whatever tool
5) Knowledge on how to draw body parts. Proportioning is really important too.
If you stare at muscle pictures a lot you will start memorizing how they look and you will screw up less on positioning. Memorize hand positions instead of figuring them out.
