What happened to all the anime sections?

The title says it all. What happened to all the anime sections in this forum? There's now like only 5 of them.

First, quit leaving it to the title to spell out the thread. That's just being lazy (and no, you aren't the only one). This is why we have so many threads with ridiculously long titles and nothing to so for them in the OP. "Oh, I'll just put ALL my effort into the title. That way there's a really long sentence that explains what I'm talking about." "Oops, I guess I have nothing left to say in my OP other than 'The title explains it all'." My tip is to make the OP first, say what you want to say [Within the rules and policies of AnimeForum.com]; then make the title as a short idea as to what the OP is about. {ie: OP:"What happened to all the Anime Sections? Where they deleted? Is my -entire thread/post- deleted too?" Title: "Anime Section Change?" or "Where's My Sections At?" or "What's Up With The Anime Sections?"

Second, and more importantly on topic. If you notice the insides of the remaining Anime Sections, you'll find all of your old sections and threads. It's called consolidation. Having so many sections was beginning to be a bear to maintain, and the activity for some of them was meh. So we took everything into one pile and reorganized them between Shojo and Shonen; leaving General and Western fairly untouched.

We've also done likewise with the Art Sections as well, converting most of the sections into either Digital or Traditional (which includes General, which is now apart of Digital due to the similar content).

Following on from Def;

Maybe if you'd looked around the forums, say, done some searches or looked in the help/support area, you would have seen that a week or so ago a thread was created explaining exactly what was going on and why. Of course, it seems that everyone else had the smarts or at least the patience to look around before blindly posting a query about it -- but of course why am I not surprised that you somehow didn't manage to follow the same laws of logic as everyone else on this forum?



tl;dr stop being a lazy git and learn to do some searches before posting stupid threads, because maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe, JUST MAYBE, you'll discover that you don't even need to bother typing anything to find an answer. Which is what everyone else seems capable of, but not you, eh? >_>

What I'm saying is maybe we could also have Seinen and Josei sections or both together perhaps? At least for me that would save me the inevitable first step when someone starts talking about a new series.

Just something to consider in your future mod discussions.

Good point, but you'll have to tell that to the Site Admins not me. lol I deal with Western/Non-Japanese things. XD
