I forgot to do it. D:
Though I am usually silent in class anyway, so it sounds kind of easy to do.
I suport it, but I see no point in doing so, it doesn't seem that anything will change.

>:B!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If someone is attacked, killed, or threatened, their being LGBT shouldn't matter at all.
A human was treated inhumanely by a cruel human. Period. No agenda needed.
I have to agree with those calling this day a dead end. What's silence going to change? Why not celebrate it instead of treating it like everyone's doomed if they're not straight, kind like black history month.. a gay history month. <.< There's plenty of creative people out there that could come up with something so friggen awesome and fun.

i still dont understand how a day of silence helps anything...
or what it was supposed to rep...
^ I have to say that I agree; I've never even heard of this sort of 'protest' (I think you would call it such...) before...I do think it's a good idea, and a good way to show support; but perhaps they should make it more vocal? (That was not an attempt at a joke...in case you thought it was xD

Actually, that was part of a social AF experiment I was conducting. I have found that by tagging "I know you're going to bad rep me because you're immature" at the end of every bad rep I dish out then the subjects are a lot less likely to give a bad rep in return. But you are the first to good rep me in return, congratulations.
Anyways, more on topic, the Day of Silence is a pointless exercise that I have found to do nothing for the betterment of LGBT community, especially where I live. I'll all for gay rights, but the Day of Silence doesn't do much to for it.
face·less –adjective 2.lacking personal distinction or identity
i think it should be happening all over. i did it and i got a detention because i wouldn't talk. i even had a flyer saying why i was silent
I'm not crazy...the world is the crazy one
Quite a lot of people on AF do this but I've always thought of it as useless. You might as well invest your time and organise the next campaign or lobby against the government for change. I'm an Action Man [the greatest hero of them all!]
a side note on this day of silence thing...if they call you gay/les for doing this and you can't say anything back to repel that...wouldn't that be nerve racking.
If they are worried about being made fun of they should have a teaspoon of cement and harden the hell up.
But other than that, a day of silence? How the hell is that going to help them? If you want to make a point wouldn't it be better to have your point noticed rather than come across as a weirdo who's too shy to talk?
