Fatal Frame games (especially 4) have been scary and funny for some reason. Silent Hill 2 was freaky, anything else above that was a bit blah. F.E.A.R 2 (I love FEAR and FEAR 3 but 2 was better) freaked me out and yet my sister watches me play and laughs. Bioshock got me also (*hint* I powered up *turn around*) when playing in the dark. I guess there's no love to the Grudge Haunted House simulation game either for the wii lol. That game was very scary.

Amnesia is the scariest. Hands down 3:
I watched my mom play Silent Hill 1 through to 4 when i was younger; they creeped and scared me to an unimaginable level, so i always have this lingering fear of them games... (i'm also left with a fear of sirens)
Pretty Much Silent Hill. It Really Got To Me.

I recall playing a short game entitled Which that gave me quite the creeped-out feeling.
^o^ I actually don't get scared by the games or horror in general (immune to horror; sometimes I get angry at it instead). Me, I just count memorable moments from the genre, I'd say in Koudelka I remember the part about the little ghost girl (I laugh at the monsters in the game); and in Parasite Even when the rats mutated. Yup, those stuck in my head foreveah for different reasons.
I swear I'm going to play all the Silent Hill games one day; they really intrigue me. >D
None. However, Bioshock 1 creeped me out just a little.
Fatal Frame was a really scary game. I played it really late at night in the darkness of my room. I had to pause it several times to calm myself down. Silent Hill would be a very close second and honestly I didn't think Resident Evil was all that scary but its a fun game, too. Then theres Siren and that game was pretty scary and Obscure which was not scary at all but apparently my brother thought it was which was hilarious.
None of the above 3:... Amnesia is really scary to me xD.. But i'll go with Fatal Frame.
try to play it! haha
None of the above.>.>
Dead Space freaks me out!>-<
I CAN'T EVEN GET PAST THE DEMO!!!!

Well apart from Resident Evil Zero to 4, I haven't really played any horror games, so Resident Evil still remains my scariest game to date.
I still remember the first Resident Evil title I bought: and it certainly had the desired effect, because admittedly I found the idea of being trapped in a mansion truly terrifying. On my first play it took me AGES to get out that damned mansion, and then only to find I'd have to return later. Yeah, I think it's safe to say that I completely missed the point of RE first time round (initially hating it even) - but once I got around the concept of being trapped in claustrophobic environments, I found myself wanting more.
This is just my personal opinion, but horror games don't come any more genuinely scarier than Resident Evil. I mean, if escaping from a charging Hunter in a tight corridor while grasping those truly horrible controls isn't scary, I don't know what is.
I don't play many horror games but one I've been playing recently is The Walking Dead on XBLA and PSN. Great story and may give you a few scares.
Out of these choices, Silent Hill. Though Left 4 Dead made me jump more, specially first time I ran across the Witch.
Fear 1 & 2, and Dead space 1.
