Anime Beaches

Seriously...in my opinion it gets kind of boring seeing the same thing over and over in a lot of animes :c. Anyone else gets tired seeing a beach episode in almost every anime?

I don't remember the last time I saw an anime beach. Think it was the latest watching of Fumoffu.

It's fairly common in romantic comedies but it most certainly doesn’t happen every time.
And even if it did I would definitely have no problem with it.

I might be weird but I enjoy Beach and Hot Spring scenes. The Hot Spring episode in Kaze no Stigma is one of my favorites

I would have thought that Prince of Tennis would have had a beach episode by this point to please the ladies... (which is roughly about 200% of its fanbase)

Oh wait the entirety of the DS game version was a gigantic beach episode.

I only see beach episodes in romantic comedies and ecchi animu. :O Other than that I don't see it.

Nah, I'm not tired of them at all. I've come to expect it. It's not just about the fan service. When its a series that spans a school year or something, what else are we going to watch the characters do during the summer episodes... endless shopping at cons? Adventures with a virtual game? Workplace drama? Even if they go on field trips to the mountains, there's going to be a lake and/or hot spring for relaxing. Japan gets hot in the summer too. The characters have to have a little water fun. It's kind of unavoidable.

Night's different, occasionally. But then it's Japan, an island that's only a hundred and forty miles wide. Might not get that hot often.

Plently of people in Japan do that, actually. The purpose of bathing in an onsen has less to do with warming yourself up than it has to do with cleanliness, as well as it's relaxing and (supposedly medical) properties.

Moreover, most Japanese people prefer baths to showers and take a hot bath at home every day of the year (when they can), including the middle of the summer.

It's the equivalent of hopping in a hot tub when it's say 104 degrees out. Not something most people want to do. Besides read my other post which I already commented on that.
