Signature of the Week #50 Theme

Theme: Illustrator

A theme just for Hyphen. This week, you are making your SOTW entry using only Adobe Illustrator. As far as stock choice, design choice, and text choice go, its all up to you under the condition you can do it all in Illustrator. Which you can.

Entry Rules:

1) Your signature must be at least 380 by 80 pixels, and no larger than 500 by 250 pixels, the files must be saved as a PNG file.
2) Entries are due on the date of Saturday, July 23rd, 2011.
3) All entries must have the text ‘AnimeGalleries.net’ on them for.
4) By entering in this contest, you are allowing AnimeGalleries.net the right to use your signature for promotional reasons or otherwise.

1) Serated is not responsible for your entry following the contest’s theme or following any other above rules. If you have ANY questions pertaining to this contest, please PM Serated and your question will be swiftly answered.

2) Themes are up to your own interpretation, and should be handled as such. Questions, comments, concerns, etc, regarding the theme or Signature of the Week in general will be answered here.

3) This contest is ANONYMOUS. Any discussions of entering, voting, deadlines, other otherwise will result in your entry and future participation within this contest being revoked.

4) You are allowed only one (1) entry for this contest. The entry must be specifically made for this contest only, and may not be posted anywhere else on the internet until the voting ends. We just had a theme two weeks ago where we couldn't use Gimp/PS.

Seems to forget that not everyone has the same programs as himself and hyphen. le sigh. I just want to go back to actually making signatures not being a laughing stock by "HAHA Look how much better I am at this program than you. Sux you can only use PS or Gimp lolololol"

Its not particularly hard to get Illustrator, even if for a trial basis for the sake of this competition. (before the BUT HOW TO WE GETS IT EHEHEHEHE crap)

The answer is simple, If you don't like the theme, just don't enter. I mean come on challenge yourself, otherwise whats the point in these god damn contests, to make mediocre dribble that you make every other day, and in the case of you two, mediocre is the right word.

Even if you made a tag in Illustrator and it wasn't perfect, at least you would have tried to challenge and assert yourself, and If you really were having such a hard time, Its not hard to find help online

I'm not whining about the challenge of using Illustrator. I can use illustrator well. I used to have it at school and before you jump to needless conclusion my trial had run up months ago and I'm not about to spend $100 to purchase it. Not because I don't want a challenge. I think making us use these high end programs that we can't afford doesn't label how good you are it just a way to make some of us who can't buy every editing program in the world feel bad. Some of our members use GIMP as they can't afford PS. Making a signature should be about using the best of what you have to achieve a goal. Not jumping through hoops by using this program or that certain program. Using other programs are not a challenge. It's a "look at what I have" type of thing. What's next? We can only make a signature in Adobe Premiere? The video editing software?

You're right, these programs are expensive, they also arent very user friendly either, Blue.

e_e I never bothered on how to use Illustrator, guess this is a free for all theme so it's time to learn anyways!

30 day free trial of CS5 should be good enough for everyone. If not, you can probably find Illustrator CS3 or lower for like 50 bucks now. It doesn't even need much to run, sooooo....Good luck!
