SAO: Who is your favorite character? Also why do you like it?

So, here's a thread for Sword Art Online, one of my favorite animes besides Seikon no Qwaser or Demon Lord Daimao.

I love the show because it's set in a VRMMORPG (virtual reality massive multiplayer online role playing game) and it's a bit morbid

My favorite character is either the GM or Asuna

Least favorite Asuna... am I the only one who detests her? She acts like she is some awesome stuff and like she is the boss of Kirito.
No offense to Asuna lovers. She annoys me and honestly is holding Kirito back...

As to why.. He's the flawless hero. Powerful, caring, friendly. And most importantly, he does not act like a lobotomized chimp. More than I can say for a great many anime characters out there.

I can't exactly recall times when she was bossing the main character around. Mind giving a few examples?

I'm a little surprised at the dislike though, since she's one of the few female supporting characters that's not completely useless in anime.

I didn't mean directly as in "Kirito, do this!" but it's how it feels.

I don't like a lot of female characters lol at first she was fine but I guess I don't like SAO having a love story she would have been fine if she just kicked butt and didn't get all girly haha Bleh I just don't like her. lol

Besides Kirito, of course, Yui (immortal object) cause she was in charge of the players emotions, i just loved her, especially when she killed that skeleton monster

I like a certain character but she wont be revealed in the anime unless they add more season xDD She's in the novel.

Kirito (Kirigaya Kazuto) - is my favorite character in this series mostly because of the black outfit you always see him in, and because he ends up marrying asuna (Yuuki Asuna)

- And because he ends up adopting Yui (which is now a navigation pixie in ALO)
