I have a feeling it won't be too much different from the last two.

When you get down to it, it will be nothing but diving behind cover and the characters cursing at either their allies or the enemies, the rookie dying, some characters that are close to the main characters will die and the emotional connection will be lost because up to that point all it was was cussing and shooting. Cole yelling "WOO!" "COLE TRAIN BABY!", Baird whining, Dom being an emo, and Fenix being emotionless.

Seeing as they're making Anya playable I have the sneaking suspicion female locusts will also exist. *gag*

The least I can hope for is a final boss worthy enough to be called final boss.

Berserkers are the female Locust and I do hope at least one makes an appearance.

I mean regular female locust, not the roid-rage professional weight-lifting one. I doubt they will let you play as a Berserker in the multiplayer.

gears of war 3 looks so freaking epic i can't wait to play it when it comes out

This is one game I am looking forward too! I really want to try out the new guns as they look pretty ace. Gears 3 will have a back story for every character.Also Gears 2 matchmaking is fixed for sure now I can find players and match for 30 seconds - 1 minute and most of the lag issues are fixed.

Yeah, I hope so too. I got nervous when the Locust queen commanded Skorge to attack Marcus and the guys. Judging from the cutscene where he first made an appearance (when he cut a centaur in half), I thought that he's gonna be a tough customer but I kicked his a**, man! haha! I hope they will make a really tough boss to end the Gears of War series.

i just hope they end the Gears of War series before it grows out of hand with spin-offs and what not like all the other hit games out there. Next thing you know we'll have a story that focuses on Baird or unknown and pretty much standard COG soldier #300,265,372. And then we will get a locust based story and more ridiculous weapons and characters. Hmm... on second thought -runs off to pitch ideas to Epic-

I figured i'll dig up this old thread since i managed to remember about it and went through some e3 videos earlier to find some information i overlooked. some things like how the new lancer bayonet works, the fact that there will be berserkers or at least lambent berserkers in campaign and the ability to switch weapons with AI teammates.

i played the beast mode type at SDCC last year so i don't think i'd buy bulletstorm, especially since it probably comes out when another game i want does.

Gears Of War 3 needs only one improvement: Fix the servers.

My online profile went corrupt 3 times, and the only way I could play (even locally) was to reset my profile using a GLITCH. The Microsoft customer support people made me glitch to fix this. Later I found that anyone can glitch their level 100 or pretty much all the achievements. What's up with that??
