Should MySpace be closed?
Do you think MySpace.com should be closed?
Half the things you here these days on the news, about internet, is myspace. I think it might be a better idea for it to be shut down.

No. People work really hard on their profiles and can only keep in touch with some of their friends on their. It shouldn't be closed.
agreed, it should stay open, but I think they need to work on the bots that are trolling their IM system.

I agree. The bots should be taken out. I was hacked at 2:30 this morning! My mom came in and woke me up and told me i was hacked. T-T had to change my password yet again. See, the teenagers who talk to older people on their profile should know better than to give out information (Phone number, address, real name, state, etc. etc.) It's not Myspace's fault. Just the morons who don't know how to keep personal information to themselves. Myspace didn't do anything, the people who have the profile's who go and give out their info did.
I have to ask: What was your mother doing surfing MySpace at 2:30 in the morning?
Seriously, they should get rid of myspace. Facebook is 30 times better, and has less problems with hacking.
They could keep the myspace MUSIC section however, because that is a good source of music 1/3 of the time.

The problem isn't myspace, it's people. Everyone uses myspace, so it's always on the news. If myspace was shut down, everyone would flock to some other place, and it would be all over the news.

No. It wouldn't make a difference anyway, people in chat rooms do the same thing as people on Myspace. It's just that you hear about it more often coming from Myspace because it's a very popular website. And deleting myspace would be the saying "lets delete all the chatrooms around the world." Then people would be mad and complaining to have them back even though all that terrible stuff was happening to kids, so it'd be a waste of time and effort.

Agreed. I have friends from my old school (about 200 miles north of here) that I can only contact through Myspace.
Besides, even if we wanted to close Myspace, it'd be impossible. It'd be about as easy as trying to close the internet. Crowds would riot, fires would engulf the homes of Anti-Myspace advocates and all those who stand in the way of the vicious Myspacer would fall to their knees and beg for their mercy.
Tom would be shot.

*ahem* Anyways, I think it's totally overblown and causes a ton of problems, but more people use it for good than bad.

Nah. For me, myspace is a place were I MAKE my weekend plans with my friends. It's very useful :3 though, some idiots have to be stupid and talk to random strangers and meet up with them. Myspace is usually blamed for things such as a pedophile area, when really...it's everywhere on any social networking site...agh stupid pathetic pedophiles...creeppy too ... >.>

Most of the time i HATE censorship of the internet of any kind, but this is not the same. I say facebook all the way! I have nither but i have done the research on both and have come to the conclusion that myspace should die off like the dinosaur's!
This is just what i think, my opinion and anyone that bad reps me for this is a idiot! I do think i will get bad reped for this but i don not care!

As annoying as the site really is, it should stay open, it does no harm on its own. If we were to shut things down everytime someone did something stupid than no one would be able to do much of anything.
