I think the word 'gobbledegook' sounds amusing, though I dont find trying to spell it very funny.
Further to the discussion above, Ive heard 'fanny' used as a verb - meaning to faff or waste time, as in 'stop fannying about and do your work'. But I think that is with reference to ladies private parts, so that mustve come later, but I think is british - as only my dad ever uses it. Also a girls name. As in one Jane Austen novel - mansfield park I think, was laughing my head off all 6 hrs I was listening to it while driving along

It's just a funny word. Plus, it goes well in place of epithets if I'm hacked off.

Rep, or when people say reppies. It sounds like rapeis when I say it ouy loud and frankly, I don't want your rape.
That's why on my forum, I call it "Karma". To me, it sounds better and no one can leave anonymous comments. I guess people shorten it because somehow, "Reputation" is too long of a word.

Good rapes are okay, I guess (though I don't like random rapes). Though I hate it when people bad rape me. Even worse is when they only leave a red box and no message!
