So... Dragon Ball Super... Thoughts? Comments? Hopes? Post them all here. I'd like to see what you guys have to say. The last (original no remake) series ended in the near 2000's, I hope Akira Toriyama will make the series as good as they used to. Yes, I've seen the Battle of the Gods movie, and I have seen the Resurrection of F fight, and honestly I am a bit disappointed so far. It feels a bit rushed with all the development. So he comes out with a new transformation out of no where *God mode* and then they make a movie where he has Super Saiyan god mode? It's all a bit rushed and confusing, if you have any arguments to this post them in the comments. I'm excited to hear all of your opinions on this upcoming series. Seeing him sing and dance in Battle of the Gods was... completely unexpected.

I got to agree with Ferasinth's thought of it being rushed. New mode discovered and then pushed right to Super one "episode" later?

As much as people want to disregard GT, there are some similarities in themes with this series:
-Both SS4 and SSG is obtained for Goku in an unconventional way.
-A highly celestial threat to Earth appears that's more powerful than any form Goku could obtain. (Beerus and Omega Shenron)
-Vegeta becomes a more devoted family man.
-Frieza makes a return because, ...hell, he is never forgotten by the writers.
-Pilaf... 'nuff said.

These are just my opinions mind you, but as much as it hurts to say this, it just seems like this is just trying to keep the DBZ story going for merchandising...

...Let Spike die gracefully and rest.

I'll still watch DBS for entertainment, but with its HD style, it just won't feel like the 90s.

It's funny, I like it and enjoy watching it, but man the sub...It's killing my ears! Seriously, Goku's voice is high-pitch it feels like a some kid got a sore throat and is trying to raise his voice in order to cure it. Trunk's sounds like and old man.
And even worse from their voice...it's Kai. It sure looks like the voice actor is eather really drunk or really sleepy, because his tone is always the same - sloooooooooow, blury and unable to keep up with the lip-sync. In short it's a nightmare.
The only reason I'm enduring this sound torture is because it's Dragon Ball - new and continued with a beautiful continuation.
I don't know, maybe it's because previously I watch Dragon Ball (and Z, GT) with dub, so that's why I can't stand the sub, but I watched other animes as well and it didn't bother me to switch from sub to dub and vice versa.
So I guess my dilema with this particular anime is weather I should wait for the dub (which could be pretty looooon time) or continue on with the sub, untill I'm annoyed as hell by it and finally snap by throwing something hard against my monitor and thus unabling myself from watching it...or any other anime as well. Hmmm a though choise...ne?

I wanna' see the English dub. Watching subtitles is good and all, but I've only watched Dragonball's dub. Then again, never say never.
