What will you do?
[Fight] [Run] [Welcome]
I'd prefer it if you went with the third option. ;D
Yo, my name is Kai. I recently turned 18-years-old and I'm just a guy who does Karate and Freestyle Wrestling.
I started Karate when I was, like, 7. I don't really know why I started it to be honest. All I remember is that I loved Jackie Chan movies and I loved the original Karate Kid growing up. Maybe it was because I got bullied a bit as a grade-schooler.
Being bullied was tough, I have to admit. I wasn't paying attention in a lot of my lessons - I was just thinking about how I could quickly get to the bus so the other kids couldn't beat me up or whatever. But still, that stuff happens to loads of people and I rather I got the brunt of it than some other kid who couldn't have dished it out.
I started Wrestling as a high-schooler, just because.
In general I like to listen to music - lots of acoustic stuff. Is nice and calming, it allows you to accept what is going on around you without using the music as a distraction itself.
Hm.. outside of school and stuff my family subscribes to shamanism and I am a shaman, which I suppose a lot of people find weird until I explain it. As a Native American it is what we believed for years. I guess the best way for me to explain it is that being a Shaman is a bit like being a Christian who goes to pray. Except we are always in a state of meditation and spiritual awareness. It is hard because you actually have to be trained for it. It is hard to always except the present as being the present. In fact, this post is the first time my mind has wandered into the past in three days.
When we communicate, it is like a prayer - except we are asking for the tools to make solutions. We're not psychics or anything - we don't 'read' people or spirits. We don't use it for public exploitation either. I find Shamanism a bit more realistic than asking a deity to perform a miracle for you or to give you strength if I'm honest. But still, each to their own.
All of that being said, yo.
