no image will upload for signature

all images i've tried are well within limits of the site. i've tried about 7 images total and i get the same message every time: unable to save image. wassa deal

When it comes to forums, I NEVER use the "Upload Signature" button. I always upload the image to an image hosting site like http://imgur.com/, take the image url and put it in IMG tags like this: [img]URL[/img]

i've been here longer than a week and still can't upload a sig picture. it says the same thing, "Unable to save image". the image i'm attempting to upload fits the parameters of the allowed signature photo exactly (500 x 200).

It wont load it if its over a certain file amount, I think the threshold is like 2MB. I would recommend you use a 3rd party upload like Photobucket, Imageshack, etc. Then link the image using the [IMG][/img] tag.

Well then do the second part, find a 3rd party site and upload it there, and use the image placement tags. Simple fix.

tried that too, invalid file error. the file isn't invalid whatsoever, it fits the parameters of resolution precisely and is far below the maximum size.

Okay, you need to send me screenshot of your error so I can better help you. Either you have an invalid JPEG file that isnt being read by AF and every file hoster, or there is something wrong with the system.

My bet is that it's a corrupted file? It hasn't been specified but make sure your image ends in an .jpg, .png, or .gif. Even then some GIFs won't be accepted through some image uploaders due to the file size. I make gifs. I always run into a file size issue.

i must have done something wrong yesterday (when i was drunk) cause the [IMG][/IMG] process works now. problem solved, thanks for all the suggestions.
