you know those shows where you have your own pet or have some object you can use to battle each other? Are there any new shows like that? I wanna watch one with my little bro.

There's Duel Masters, which is another card based anime like Yu-Gi-Oh. Plawres Sanshiro which uses miniture dueling robots sort of like the tops from Beyblade. You could argue anime like Fate/Stay Night would fit that description, but I don't think that's what you're looking for.
Zatch Bell is a good one.
Dinosaur King. It's very similar to pokemon, in fact it basically is pokemon but with dinosaurs instead. It even involves a card system which brings in the whole yugioh effect.

So I'm guessing there are no new anime's with this style? What's the closest thing to this style. I've pretty much seen all of these shows. Thanks a lot for the replys.
Not really, no. Not many animes like that actually. The two I've listed may be the only ones that you haven't listed. You may have to go broader or look for anime that has similar styles. You may want to look into animes like Rave Master if you go for similar story telling styles.
Monster rancher...
Not new, but still applies to the first post.
I haven't heard of any. I think Pokemon has just REALLY saturated the market. But I'll tell you what. I'm going to use my mad research skills to see if theres anything in the land of the rising sun with that descreiption. deal? Your welcome! =P
Life has no subtitles. Support your English voice actors.
You could try Angelic Layer. The characters had a "Battle Doll" that can only move while in the arena. While they use it they have a headset on that allows them to control it with their mind.
It was made in 2001 so it isn't really a new series but I would recommend it if you like that style.

^^Still working on list, not every anime I has seen has been added yet.
"Why should people trust me? They don't have any reason to, yet. Distrust is human nature. Distrust creates doubt and doubt causes people to miss judge the intention of others. But people can change, can't they?"
Shaman King? If you consider a spirit your pet...
It is stupid to be afraid to die, but the most stupid thing is to be afraid to live.
Yay! My favorite subcategory in the fantasy genre! (you can tell, check out my avatar)
Um, let's see, there's LegendZ, but the anime isn't in America. There's a manga for it that's closer to Pokemon.
I want to say Dragon Drive, but I'm not sure about that one for some reason. I think it's a yes.
I could say Cardcaptor Sakura, but that's a shojo, so I don't think your little bro would like that...
And someone named Duel Masters. The main character is voiced by Joshua Seth- who also voices my little Tai-kun! (the one on the far left in my avatar with the big hair.) Just wanted to say that.
That's all I can think of right now. I'll try to find more on my magic trips around the internet!
Why do they always screw up good animes? You know, STUPID AMERICAN DUBBING! What's next? Characters undergoing personality transformations at the hands of STUPID AMERICAN DUBBING?!
What dubbing, you may ask? Starts with 4, ends with s. Two of my favorite series fell prey to it. (Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh). You know the one...

If you want a fun show that you can watch and not roll your eyes to, Monster Rancher is a great show.
*points to above post* Uh, no.
I'll give you Pokemon, even though I love Ash to bits. But I have to correct you with Digimon- people actually DIE. Some of the backstories (yea, backstories, which most of the characters have) are pretty heavy too- check out that dude who was possessed by Mysotismon in Season 2 who I forget his name! Plus
it has my beloved Tai-kun in it!!! How could you hate this little guy?!

Does crush gear turbo count as a good one?
How could anyone forget Fighting Foodons!? :P
You might like Medabots.
It's about a load of kids going around making their robots fight each-other.
Why children are allowed access to machines that shoot rockets and the like, I will never know.

How do I stop sucking at Touhou?!
well what about beywheelz it's made from the same people who made beyblade, or cardfight vanguard it's a card game like yugioh or monsuno, it's these monster they fight with and the monsuno rests in a core
I can't believe no one has suggested Zoids yet. Zoids is amazing. I mean it's not exactly like pokemon and all that but it's awesome. I would consider the Zoids to be like pets and friends...

And Beywheelz is almost EXACTLY like Beyblades just wheelz instead of blades. They even use a lot of the names from Beyblade Metal Fusion like L Dragon and Pegasus. No offense but I like the original Beyblade series better...they keep coming out with new stuff that's not like the original and it's not cool...
