Also depends on the type of crying.

If they're silent/angry and happen to be crying at the same time, no. If they're curled in a ball on the floor sobbing their eyes out, they better have been kicked in the junk or something equivalent.

Also location. Crying at their mother's/child's funeral, acceptable. Crying because their woman left them, acceptable for at max one week, even then it's like dude c'mon. Crying because the restaurant got their order wrong or something, no.

I actually ask because a friend told me one of our teachers broke down during class.We had never seen him cry, and he was coughing and whimpering, and when asked why, he replied "Nothing".I wanted to slap the teacher.Later on he kept that same tough guy appearence.

Techniques and natural forms of tears aside, I would have to admire the man for breaking out of convention and getting a healthy emotional release.

a natural emotion with no bias to gender ... i cryed at my uncles funeral, i cryed when my parents divorced, i cry when a good movie moves me... i think no one should be afraid to cry wether it be man or woman or whatever

I would not.
A man who can cry is not shameful, emotions are a good thing.

To look down upon a man for crying, is like looking down on some one being an individual. The "tough guy" act only goes so far.

My uncle is a 'big man' he cries most of the time, for a reason that i cry all the time for...

Well it does. The OP only specified men, though. If a woman cried over a wrong order, I'd think less of her too.

Never would I look down on a person when they are crying. Obviously something, or someone, has upset them or has done something to make them become emotional and I would not blame them for it as different people get upset about different things. So no, I would never look down on a man that crys unless it gets to a ridiculous count over ridiculous things.

Small people do not cry either, such as me. The last time I cried was seven months ago, and before that, two years. The reason I did it previously seven months ago was because someone very close and dear to me died. Surely that is understandable. 'tis for me.

No I won't look down on him, because there must be a reason why he is crying, everyone cries, no matter who they are. It does not matter if its a grown man, they probably have a reason for crying, which I won't get involved with his crying{most of the time, if I know the man, I might}

I guess it depends on the man. For some men, seeing their favorite football team lose makes them cry. For others, only the death of an extremely close friend or relative can bring about tears. so it depends of the situation.. but i don't think they should hide their feelings.. i'm sure if one man cries he had his motive so i won't look down on him.. and if i know him i probably give my shoulder until his finished.. and if he don't wanna talk about it , fine.
