Only works on still pics. In an animated gif, the search engine wouldn't know which frame to use for the search. And yes I do know how to use reverse image search. I usually start out with a low quality sample pic from a porn pay site, then do a reverse image search, and often find a full-quality copy of the image floating around then net. Sometimes the starting picture is only a thumbnail (if the porn site happens to be really protective of its images), but inevitably there is at least one decent quality copy of the image somewhere on the net that has been pirated, and the Google reverse image search will end up finding it.
