Hey i dont know if this topic been done before But this is a light hearted and humourous take to them.

I have a Capetonian accent which i think is quite awesome.It awesome cause when I go away over seas I get picked out alot from others .Exesept Most people ask if im from Australia i hate this and trying to explain where South Africa is on the map (It not that hard rellly?).
Apparently Mine is very Hot acording to girls in other contries and my Gf love it also (Shes from England) aparntly cause it so clear.

I recently noticed I had an accent when I heard myself in a speech video a teacher made of us. Afterwards I asked everyone if I really had an accent, and they said that I didn't. It was pretty weird. I guess my accent is midwestern or something along those lines.

I'm not sure. I'm jamaican but most jamaicans that I speak to say I don't sound it. Its probably cause I don't really use a lot of slang. I like language so I end up soundin way different from my counterparts. Guys seem to like it.

some american girl heard me speak english and thought i was from minnesota (wtf?!) and i know so many people who have lived there for more than ten years and still sound obviously slavic, so i guess i'm some kind of a language genius or (more probably) they are idiots. i mean, how dumb must these people be to live somewhere for ten years and not understand that "w" and "v" are pronounced differently?!

According to everyone who's spoken to me I don't have one
But i do its just not strong like everyone's. I'm from Yorkshire in England if you hear someone speak from their NO i don't sound like them 19 years i lived their and never had a accent. Everyone says i'm just well spoken one person thought i was from America :s

I prefer my accent over a South African accent.

I have a Bronx accent and it is fearsome to a few. However, some find it lovable also. I'm quite content as a result.

I have an (English) accent I'd describe as "european scientist". It really is the strangest accent. See, in academia you get to meet a lot of people from around the world, and the lingua franca of science is English. But since most people you meet are not native English speakers, you are exposed to a lot of strange accents, and you eventually pick some of those language traits up. I have wild influences from Slavic languages, Central European languages, all sorts of English accents, Scandinavian languages, etc.

Well i have an accent since i wasnt born here but sometimes people say that i speak with no accent. When i speak spanish i love my accent but in english i dont lol

My accent isn't too bad most of the time. But my town is between Liverpool and Manchester so think of somewhere between scouse and mancunian. Also, pretty much everyone here misses out "the" or "to the" when talking about going somewhere. For example "I'm going town" n stuff.

But there's a few accents I really like Australian, Irish, Scottish and Southern English (Oxford area). Oh, and I find Welsh accents amazing

There will always be some jerk that is offended by the formulation of what you say. If we were to adapt what we say so that it offends no-one, it wouldn't be possible to say anything at all.
